Search parameters per Amma and Dayamrita Swami:
Location: 30 to 45 minutes drive from LAX
Budget: - $1 to $2 million
(will consider additional options)
Size: - Sanctuary that can accommodate 500-1000 people
(with potential for expansion)
Residential: - 10 to 15 residential units
Nature: - Land for guests / residents to walk around. The land
may be part of the Amma Center property or it could
be a local park / recreational area
Misc: - Ability to develop sufficient revenue stream to pay for
the on-going maintenance and upkeep
- No intensive construction please
- Number of physical structures should be manageable
- Consider foreclosure / bank owned properties
Additional suggested qualifications from local volunteers:
Size: - 30,000 s.f. of building area
Zoning: - RAS3, R3, RAs4, R5, CR, C1, C1.5, C2, C4C5, CM, M1,
M2, and M3
Parking: - Sufficient parking to support existing building size
- 1 space per 500 s.f. of building
- For classrooms, 1 space for every 50 s.f. of classroom
area or 1 per 5 fixed seats
Amenities: - Commercial kitchen preferred
- Ample restrooms
- Classrooms

- Church / Spiritual Center / School / Community Center
- Commercial property / Industrial property
